Twin-Screw Extruder
Twin-screw extruders are the preferred choice for plastic compounding due to their superior mixing capability and precise process control. While more complex and costly than single-screw extruders, the twin-screw extrusion machines allow direct extrusion of complex polymer formulations.
| Screw Diameter | Output |
| Ø35 mm | 15–30 kg/h |
| Ø65 mm | 200 kg/h |
| Ø75 mm | 400–500 kg/h |
| Ø95 mm | 900–1000 kg/h |
| Ø110 mm | 1000–1200 kg/h |
| Ø120 mm | 1100–1500 kg/h |
Plastic material enters the barrel through the feeding section. Inside, two screws rotate together and move the material forward while breaking it up, mixing it and spreading additives or fillers throughout the resin. Heat from the barrel gradually melts the material, and the continued mixing helps create a more uniform melt before it is pushed through the die.
- In 2012, a client in Indonesia purchased a co-rotating twin-screw extrusion line for producing 1300 mm-wide sheets. The line reached a stable output of 1000 kg/h and has continued operating overseas for many years while maintaining consistent production performance.
- In 2024, a client in Malaysia ordered a complete PET extrusion line with two co-rotating twin-screw extruders. The customized extrusion line can produce either one 930 mm-wide sheet or two 510 mm-wide sheets, with each line operating steadily at 1000 kg/h.
We can supply twin-screw extruders for different materials, sheet sizes and output requirements. Let us know what material you plan to process and what product you need to make, and our engineering team will develop a suitable configuration for your production line.
Our plastic extrusion systems cover applications from thin plastic sheets with a thickness of 0.02 mm to heavy-gauge boards up to 40 mm thick, with production widths exceeding 3 meters. With our portfolio of extruders, downstream equipment and extrusion lines, we provide customized plastic extrusion solutions for manufacturers and processors in food packaging, electronics, automotive, construction, furniture and other industrial applications.
