Winders for Extrusion Line
Winders receive the finished film or sheet from the extrusion line and wind it into rolls under controlled tension. During winding, the winders keep the film or sheet under steady tension and align it as the roll forms. Proper winding produces neat, even rolls that are easier to store, transport and use in the next production step.
These winding systems are used for food packaging film, industrial packaging materials and other plastic film or sheet products. They can be installed as part of a complete extrusion line or supplied separately for existing extruding systems.
Suitable Materials and Product Range
- Materials: PP, PE, PS, PET and other common sheet and film materials
- Product Width: 600–1300 mm; wider configurations can be customized according to the extrusion line
- Product Thickness: 0.1–2 mm; the maximum winding thickness depends on the stiffness and flexibility of the material
The winder configuration depends on whether the extrusion line produces film or sheet, as each product requires a different winding method. We offer dedicated winding systems for both options, including fully automatic and frame-type models for plastic sheet.
Features
- Automatic Tension Control: Sensors check the sheet tension while it is being wound. The operator enters the required value on the touchscreen, and the winder adjusts itself to keep the tension stable.
- Taper Tension Control: The winding tension gradually decreases as the roll grows from an empty core to full size, which helps protect the inner layers from excessive pressure and deformation.
- Automatic Roll Handling: Winders measure the sheet length, cut the material and switch to the next roll automatically, so high-speed production can continue with less manual work and lower risk for operators.
These winding machines are used on extrusion lines that need stable winding after the sheet has been slit into separate widths. Thanks to their reinforced frame, the winder can operate steadily during continuous operation, while two-station and four-station versions are available for single- or double-width winding. Each configuration can be customized to the required sheet width and production capacity.

- Four-Station Configuration: Two strips can be wound at the same time after inline slitting, helping the extrusion line handle more output.
- Stable Roll Formation: The heavy-duty frame keeps the winding shafts aligned during long production runs. The automatic tension control also helps the sheet wind evenly and keeps the roll edges neat.
- Manual Operation: The operator handles cutting, roll positioning and restarting the winding process during production.

- Continuous Automatic Winding: The A and B winding shafts switch automatically, and the film is cut and attached to the next core without stopping the line, which allows continuous production even at high speeds.
- Length Control: Operators can set the required roll length and choose between manual and automatic operation. An alert is triggered before the target length is reached, reducing the amount of manual work needed.
- Accurate Tension Control: Constant tension control and automatic taper adjustment keep the inner layers firm and the outer layers slightly looser. The film can be wound more evenly, with fewer wrinkles, less deformation and neater roll edges.
- Production Data Display: The control screen shows the length of the current roll, the previous roll and the total film produced each day. So, operators can check production data and trace quality issues more easily.
